Lets play dress up! animal's version

* This was a former rant on Facebook that I made a little while back, I will have to edit some things in it for this blog*

I myself am not always a huge fan of dressing up dogs in cute outfits/costumes but I will admit it is cute. On facebook, I see cute pictures of dogs/puppies/kitties dressed up in little suits, or Halloween type costumes or sweaters, and every time I see comments that just make me so damn annoyed like "Poor dog/puppy!" "So sad!" "How cruel!" "this is awful" "Why are you torturing that poor animal?" ect... All these comments get thumbs up while the other people complimenting that the animals are cute are getting nothing but abusive and negative replies! For FUCKS SAKE people it's not the like animal is in a cage, starving, or all mangy! Sure, the dog might not like it, but guess what, some little kids don't like dressing up in clothes either!! So what, are these parents that MAKE and sometimes FORCE their children to wear clothes or coats also EVIL CRUEL  people?? Or how about the parents who have to struggle to get their babies into dresses or little suits for photos? They must be evil to for torturing a baby like that! Why not let their child run around nude like they want?

Some of you will argue that those are children and need clothes while pets don't. Or that you can't compare pets to children, well you know what? Pets ARE children to some people! WE ARE PET PARENTS are we not? Some people who can't have children have pets to show love and affection to. Do you really just call yourself an owner or master to your pet or do you call yourself their mommy/daddy? Ok then, you have your answer.

These animals are NOT suffering, they are NOT in pain, they might be a bit scared but when they are dressed up, it is normally (or should be) for a few minutes for photos. Or if it's winter time then they might NEED a sweater or little doggie jacket if their fur isn't long enough or it's extremely cold outside. Or maybe we feel safer if we have life jackets on our dogs when we take them on a boat. I'm not trying to bash on these people, but they make their stupidity known to the world with comments like the ones I stated above as examples. So they are doing this to themselves really.

Putting clothes on animals is not cruelty, cruelty is caging them in small cramped dirty cages, beating them with sticks, belts, and your fists, starving them for days on end because your too lazy or don't care to feed them. Abuse is also not taking your pets to the vet when they have wounds or are sick, it's when you have sex with your animals, like some resent stories I've seen, now THAT is abuse, THAT is cruel.
